The Huntingdon Valley Thunder finished the 2010 Rock Spring Soccer League as undefeated champions playing to a 6-0 record with 35 goals for and 0 against. The team has not been scored on in spring soccer league play for the past two years.
Why would a number of premier level soccer players choose to play for the Thunder? Their parents found that high-level soccer training can at the same time include a high level of fun for their daughters. Contact coach Rob DeMartinis at 215-499-7569 or use this form to contact us. Girls born between August 1, 1996 and July 31, 1997 (or up to 1 year younger in special situations) can be considered for tryouts this spring so contact us soon.

Once again the HV Thunder are heading to the Schillinger Thanksgiving Weekend Tournament at Parkwood. As has been the case for the last couple of years, the weather forecast is – at least for Friday – cold and miserable with a 100% chance of suffering. What a tradition. Players always have fun once they are able to get moving. Parents on the other hand will merely suffer. The weather will slowly improve through the weekend.

Field Map – Championship is on Field 1
This weekend marks the end of a tough fall season. Rain over much of the fall caused numerous schedule changes to games and practices and turned our field into nothing but mud. It seems appropriate though that we wallowed in mud as the H1N1 virus (and bouts of the common cold) took a toll on a number of our players. I’m just hoping to have everyone healthy again at this point. Indoor activities will begin in December with soccer on Sundays and crossfit training on Fridays. These activities will keep the girls moving over the winter and should be a lot of fun while increasing their overall fitness.
